Highly recommend if You appreciate fine art, this reproduction is on another level.
This is definitely museum quality, beautiful detail. Exactly as pictured, if not better. Placement will require a lot of planning with excellent lighting. White marble look may require some good background to get good contrast, direct lighting with maybe a mirror underneath for added impact. This is a statement piece and shouldn’t be cluttered with other items. It should stand by itself. The weight is hefty, and the price is very fair. This could be a hand me down piece for those that appreciate fine art, and as a replica this is a superior reproduction. I would recommend and buying again, I do have another piece in the line, and it is just as beautiful as this one. I have the first on a plant stand, and it works great with the lighting. This should work equally well in the environment. The detail is superior, down to the littlest detail, nails, hair, finger indentions, exquisite. Very realistic, even for the original creation. I will be buying other items, the statue was packed well. No damage at first glance, will look further, but I doubt it. The quality is too good. Children, even adults, who appreciate art are going to like looking at this and all the detail. I took a quick glance and I know that I will be looking at it for years to come. It is that nice of a piece. A small lazy Susan would work for this piece to encourage rotation of the piece. The detail is everywhere. A nice wooden pedestal would be ideal, very stable piece. Some rotation device is really required for ideal viewing. One last note: lighting, lighting, lighting. From all angles if possible, just taking a few pics I can see how challenging this is going to be lit. I took one extreme close up to show some detail, some casting material was left over, and I tried to pick out. Really challenging, not a bad thing, at normal viewing, the piece, is eye clean, the casting material is stuck in tight crevices due to the amount of detail of the piece. Blowing, picking works but may require some patients if you want to get it all out, blowing, brushing didn’t help a lot, it’s all loose it just won’t come out easy. Even under magnification it was hard, again can’t really see, even when looking close-up, so don’t take any of this as a flaw in the product. It is just casting material and can be cleaned out delicately. May take a few hours working under magnification. Its a me thing. Still a five star product.

Stunningly Beautiful
I once saw the real statue in Italy and have always loved it. This reproduction is even more beautiful than I’d hoped for. At 14″ high it seems a bit taller than I thought it would be, but overall it is really quite stunning and very detailed. The facial details, the curls of Pluto’s hair and beard, the folds of Persephone’s dress, the delicate hands and toes (even with nails as a detail), and best of all, Pluto’s fingers pressing into her flesh and showing the dimples of the pressure just as in the original, just a beautiful beautiful reproduction from every angle and this is a statue that must be viewed from all angles. This statue was packed in a box labeled “Studio Collection” by Veronese Design, and I was a bit shocked when it was delivered within 2 days by Fed Ex (I have Amazon Prime) without any outer box to further protect and cushion it. Inside the box, the statue was firmly wedged into a thick molded foam protection custom made for the statue and box so the fit was tight (statue also wrapped in plastic), yet there certainly must have been a great possibility of breakage considering the statue’s delicate fingers, Persephone’s raised arm, and flowing material that also sticks out from the statue. At this price, I’m just surprised the box didn’t have a substantially padded outer box as well. Fortunately, my statue arrived in perfect condition and I’m really beyond pleased.

ik wil al geruime tijd een replica van het prachtig beeld van Bernini, maar vond de meeste replica’s ondermaats (weinig gedetaileerd, flets ogend, houding kwam niet overeen met het origineel, e.d.). De replica van deze verkoper is (als enige) van een dusdanig hoge kwaliteit, met aandacht voor de kleinere details. Ik kan niet ophouden ernaar te kijken. Mijn complimenten aan de maker.

Beautiful miniature replica of the original. But a tad bit expensive for the size. Also I paid in pounds but got the receipt in dollars instead (which would have been cheaper in pounds after conversion)
