Story time!(Edited)It was high time I evaluated and updated our interiors, and I had to hurry if I wanted to have it ready by the holidays. So I tackled the large open floor plan area first and then the rest. This design refresh relied on making style impact through textiles using the furniture we already had (avoiding repainting walls or replacing flooring or any interior renovation). Although this approach simplified the task as much as possible, choosing palette and pattern and matching it to products on a very small budget still took a lot of time. My theme key words were “Controlled Nature”.Methodically I worked my way to the last of the rooms and chose to focus on the studio before the bedroom. I knew I had to have some big gorgeous cabbage roses in my design somewhere. There was a great sale going on with these quality William Morris design rugs with the esplanade rose bushes that I first wanted for my studio but realized belatedly that decorating around it was going to be a chore. These lovely arte nouveau lines would likely be in contention with whatever creativity that might transpire. Also in the studio are tall open storage shelves that needed curtains and of course the best thing to match with a William Morris design is more William Morris designs! Which there were no sales on any of those, and considering the functional purposes of the room caused me to reconsider this as the foundation of my decorating efforts there. So I left the studio design refresh problem alone and moved on to the last room on the list, the master bedroom.So I was feeling exasperated by budget and options when suddenly I realized this lovely rug would actually do the job as the foundation piece for the room. However I was too late to get the matching runner rugs, all sold out by then and nothing else would do at first. But the rest of the design fell into place with maximalist luxe faux fur runner rugs in ivory (on sale) and shimmering satin textiles for the bed. There was already a Tiffany type lamp in the room, so really it should’ve occurred to me sooner that this rug was meant to be there.These rugs aren’t thick but don’t have to be (serves as a wear buffer for the flow path, extending the life of the flooring). The size is perfect for my needs, it installed easily, was a cinch to open and the fold lines disappeared quickly. I don’t recall it having any icky smells. It’s very soft and pleasant, feels low key high tone.Overall very pleased with it and happy that it worked out after all to keep this around. It inspired a jewelbox of posh in the middle of a sophisticated practical design, especially welcoming in the room it eventually found it’s home in.***Side note, also ordered the navy floral rug from the options in this listing as a juxtaposition to rein in the heaviness of the lodge vibes of our design refresh in the rest of the house. The pop of these cottagecore florals added the playful lightness needed to keep the interiors feeling trendy while traditional, & also creates a layer of cozy lush pattern (this element has been carried through the rest of the room with similar florals in the plates and tablecloth for the dining area of the open floor plan). While for the purposes of my design refresh I kept tight control on the palette and pattern of the open floor plan area, this floral navy rug could work in a variety of design settings. It’s a versatile piece that should last a long time.

Great option for busy home
I bought this washable rug because I needed something that could handle everyday life while still looking nice in our space, and so far it’s been a great choice.The rug arrived well packaged and laid flat pretty quickly after unrolling. The material feels soft underfoot but still durable enough for a high-traffic area. We have kids and pets, so spills and messes are a regular occurrence, and this rug has been very forgiving.I’ve washed it once already following the care instructions, and it came out clean without shrinking or losing its shape. It dried evenly and went right back into place without any issues. I also appreciate that it doesn’t feel stiff or crunchy after washing.If I had to note one thing, it’s that a rug pad underneath definitely helps keep it from shifting, especially on hard floors. Other than that, it’s been easy to maintain and looks great in the room.Overall, I’d recommend this rug to anyone looking for a practical, low-maintenance option that still feels comfortable and works well for a busy household.
