I needed a light for my backyard. Something to illuminate the area when I take the trash out at night without having to flip a switch. I saw these solar lights and thought they would be perfect. The installation was simple. I mounted one on the corner of my house, aimed it at the yard, and let the Texas sun do its job.That evening, I stepped outside to test the motion sensor. As I walked into the detection zone, the light turned on. It was not a gentle glow. It was like staring into the heart of a new sun. The 6000K brightness rating is not an exaggeration. My entire backyard was bathed in a brilliant, clinical white light. Every blade of grass was visible. I could probably have performed surgery out there.A moment after the light activated, I heard a commotion from the trees. A flock of birds, who had been sleeping peacefully, suddenly burst into the sky. They flew in chaotic circles, clearly convinced it was 6:00 AM. I felt a pang of guilt. I may have permanently altered their migration schedule. I used the included remote to dim the light, which is a very handy feature. The remote works well from a distance, allowing you to change modes without getting a ladder.The light has held up perfectly through a couple of heavy thunderstorms, so the waterproof claim seems solid. The motion sensor is sensitive and triggers reliably. The dusk-to-dawn feature works as advertised, charging all day and being ready all night. It’s an excellent floodlight. It is almost too good. Five stars. I hope the birds find their way south eventually.

First, I want to say it does come well packaged. So they took the utmost care in the solar panel. Which is fairly large, it’s easy to mount. We did not have a Pole, so you can get a 2×4 put that in the ground or nail that to your deck in mount this under the 2×4, with some screws that are supplied in this box, it has a dusk to dawn setting, it stays lit all night. And it lights up a whole 20 foot perimeter, super bright. It’s good to have to keep the coyotes away from our house at night. You don’t want to have to worry about electricity if the power goes out, so solar is a great thing to have, it’s also a good price!
