Super easy setup, solid sound and a big improvement over TV speakers
This sound bar dramatically increased the sound quality in our bedroom, making voices more clear and the sound more impactful with every program we have watched!As with most TVs, my system has rear-facing speakers, so the sound has to bounce back off the wall rather than projecting where I sit. Especially because my TV is in a corner, the sound quality is really low, since it bounces into TWO walls and doesn’t come back at the angle where I’m actually hearing it. This sound bar faces where I sit, so the sound projects out right to where I am, and with a much superior quality than the TV speakers can achieve.I’m no audio engineer, so I definitely appreciated the quick start guide and easy set up of this system. I was able to use the provided HDMI cord, but other cable and wireless options are included in the instructions as well, and seem very easy to use as an alternate output. Funology’s documentation is very clear and thorough, so you can step-by-step your way through setup. There are also extra bits of info in the packaging to help quickly troubleshoot common issues. The unit showed up right away as an audio output source on my TV, with clear identification of what it was, so setup with the TV was straightforward. (My TV is about 3 years old, so it’s not super new, and it doesn’t have any special features, it’s an off-the-shelf unit.)For the price point, this is a really well-appointed system in terms of features. There are several standard audio presets you can try, but if you need to adjust bass or treble directly, the remote allows you to do that. The front display screen indicates what you’re adjusting when using the remote, but then turns off so it’s not distracting. I don’t have any super-fancy audio needs, so once we adjusted the sound to what we liked, I stored that remote on top of the unit and can use the TV or AppleTV remote to adjust the volume while watching TV.The sound quality is very high for the size of the bar and the price point. It’s not tinny and it doesn’t have echo, but it does offer good, loud sound that can wake up the room for action scenes, while keeping human voices clear and crisp for quiet, somber scenes. This has definitely leveled up our viewing experience!

Good for smaller rooms, applications
I wanted a soundbar to fire the sound straight out to the front of my garage TV with fuller sound vs using the downward firing built in speakers on the wall mounted tv.This package includes every cable needed for different types of connections to a TV, a HDMI cable, an Aux cable, and an Optical cable. A remote and power cord are also included.The soundbar itself feels hefty (yet not too heavy) and seems solidly built. Installation (using the HDMI ARC cable) was simple and intuitive. The Tv automatically connected to the speaker and the remote control paired immediately as well.Once installed, using a separate top TV mounting kit, I tested the sound quality. The soundbar did fire the sound straight out of the front as expected. The sound itself was a bit better/fuller sounding that the TV’s built in speakers. I adjusted the bass/treble using the included remote control to my liking. The sound is ok, it is better, but didn’t blow me away. It actually seemed like the volume wouldn’t go as loud as by just using the Tv’s speakers. To get to a normal volume that I would normally listen to I had to bring the soundbar volume to 80% or more. Bringing the volume up to 100% didn’t make it that much louder. The sound was a bit fuller sounding, but it had to get to almost full volume to notice the difference.I then used my Job site radio with an AUX input to connect my TV to that. The jobsite radio’s speakers sounded better, louder, fuller than this soundbar.This soundbar will not be used for it’s purpose in my garage. This soundbar will be good to use on a smaller TV in our spare room on the TV’s tabletop. This soundbar in a smaller room, while sitting on a desk/table (which helps the bass due to it’s down firing woofers) is perfect for this size soundbar, for larger room applications it’s just ok.

Great upgrade for TV audio without breaking the bank
If you are not familiar with Amazon Vine, it is basically Amazon trading free* products for honest reviews. I do my best to make my reviews honest, real and value-oriented as if I had paid for each item I receive.* These items are not totally free as Vine members pay income tax on the items they receive. I only mention this because we Viners do have some skin in the game for each item we order.Why I ordered this item: My TV speakers are trash and I wanted something that would make dialogue easier to hear without taking up a bunch of space. I have a 43″ TV in my bedroom and didn’t want a big bulky setup.Likes:* Setup was super simple. I used the HDMI ARC cable they include and it connected to my TV in under five minutes. My TV remote controls the volume automatically, which is a nice surprise.* The sound is a lot better than my TV speakers. Voices are much clearer and I can hear dialogue in shows without cranking the volume way up.* This thing is pretty compact. It fits under my TV perfectly and doesn’t block any part of the screen. Its about the same width as my TV stand.* The bass surprised me. For something this small, the low-end sound is way better than I thought it would be. I tested it with a few action movies and you can definately feel the impact from explosions and stuff.* All the cables you need are in the box. HDMI, optical, and a 3.5mm cable. I didn’t have to go out and buy anything extra.* The remote is simple and easy to use. I switch between Bluetooth mode and HDMI mode depending on if I’m streaming music or watching TV.No likes:* The LED display on the front is bright at night. I put a piece of tape over it because it lights up my room and i hate lights when i try to sleep.Would I pay full price for this product: YesFinal thoughts: This is a great upgrade from TV speakers and doesn’t cost a fortune.
